We are seeking a Research Assistant!

Dr. Kaminski is seeking a student research assistant to assist with research investigating mathematics and statistics learning and reasoning. Our research is funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Responsibilities include data collection, data entry, and possibly assisting with the development of experiments and instructional material. Some studies may involve eye tracking. Most data collection will be done at area schools. The research assistant must have a car and be willing to use it to go to area schools or be able to coordinate transportation with others in the research group. The successful candidate should be organized, articulate, detail-oriented, fluent in spoken and written English, and comfortable working in school settings. Prior research experience or experience teaching or tutoring are a plus, but not necessary. Students majoring in mathematics education, mathematics (with an interest in mathematics education and/or research), psychology, or a related field are encouraged to apply. This is an hourly paid student position for 6 – 10 hours per week.
